谭邦兰教授出生于医学世家，从小在爷爷与父亲的谆谆教导下，耳濡目染，打下了深厚的中医学基础，长大后毕业于重庆医科大学临床应用技术专业，曾在重庆第三军医大学新桥医院进修医学美容，北京大学中小企业管理高级研修班学习企业管理，成为一名妇科大夫。
